Henry has been creating custom furniture for over 30 years, and 2019 brings exciting changes.
After working with Henry for more than 17 of those years, his daughter, Avery, has taken over the furniture business and moved the shop to Southern Colorado. Please contact Avery to inquire about any of the furniture line shown and her own line of work.
Henry will continue to sculpt in Northern Wisconsin and may be reached there for any inquiries.
Henry Royer was born in Colorado Springs, CO and grew up in Duluth Minnesota in a home filled with art. Time outside fueled his inspiration for working with earth-borne materials.
He graduated from City College in NYC with a Philosophy degree, but always worked with his hands and sculpted. Making furniture and sculpting for more that 30 years, he fuses basic materials, steel, stone and wood into artistic showpieces for residential, and commercial settings.
“The work is all visual exploration and experimentation. I play with forms and when something clicks, that’s it.”
In Colorado, Avery will continue to create pieces from the Henry Royer furniture line while she expands her own line of designs.
A skilled craftswoman, her attention to detail can be seen throughout the fabrication process. From first cut to the final application of patinas and finishes, Avery’s passion shines through in each piece of furniture she creates.
